We stayed in the Fave Hotel, Makassar, twice in February, 2023. Fave is a modern hotel with all the amenities you need. It is in the Pantai Losari area, very close to the seafront walkway, with multiple neighborhood restaurants and food carts easily available. Though a bit back from the main road, everything is easily accessible. The location was perfect to allow us to explore Makassar either by walking or taking a tuk-tuk (motorized rickshaw - just ask the front desk for recommendations on how much to pay and negotiate that before your trip!) It is a bustling area and is a great spot for experiencing Makassar. The staff was friendly and helpful and had enough English to answer our questions. I often WhatsApp texted with a Fave representative who was quite helpful in arranging our transport to and from the hotel and confirming other arrangements. We upgraded to a sea-view room on an upper floor, and had a spacious bedroom with a secondary attached room with seating and kitchenette. The view over the harbor was really a pleasure. The bed was comfortable, good air conditioning, and there was a hot water kettle for tea or coffee. We enjoyed the Indonesian breakfasts each morning - and they will cook you an egg to order. And when we were too tired to go out again, we had a pleasant lunch in the coffee shop.

The location is perfect. Pantai Losari and boulevard really close. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets. We had a family room with a great view. The room was spacious and clean. There is also a swimmingpool. Massages are given in your room. We will visit this hotel again, during our next stay in Makassar.

I appreciated the cafe/restaurant on the ground floor as the food was good and it was convenient after a long tiring day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Best location 1st time check-in in the city of Makasar we choose the correct hotel There is plenty of street food near the hotel and getting around is easy with Grab and Maxim. Recommended hotel to stay in if you like to explore nearby area.
